Truly, if God is with us . . .

I just finished washing my clothes.

That statement, in itself, has no meaning except illustrating the tedium of daily living.

Except that, with my clothes, I inadvertently also washed my rosary.

*Gasp*

No, I swear I've checked out all pockets of my vest (in which my rosary use to reside). Yet, still, somehow I missed that rosary, and it got tumbled around in the washing machine.

A sure recipe for disaster. Except that it was not. The rosary survived the tumbles, and emerged intact.

That somehow lead me to ponder this quote: If God is with use, who can stand against us?

Truly, God is great.

Which . . . Word of God?

I've watched the fight between King James Version (KJV) supporters and New International Version (NIV) supporters. And I think, "What an empty, meaningless fight."

I mean, we all believe in the omnipotence of God.

So why can't we accept the fact that God is more than capable of speaking to us through the scripture, whatever the translation is?

This saddens my heart greatly. Blind fanaticism based on mere translation, for crying out loud.

Please, let us stop debating, fighting trivial things like translations. Translations are performed by humans, and as humans are imperfect, it is impossible to have a perfect translation that can sufficiently capture God's infinite wisdom.

Let us, instead, enjoy God's gift of inspiration to the translators. God had inspired them with different translation styles, which suits our different preferences. Enjoy His words, and glorify his name.

Be Blessed by The Voice of Truth

A friend of mine buzzed me via Pidgin (well actually he hailed using Y!M, but that's not the point here). He said that I *really* must listen to the following song, sung by the new CCM group Casting Crowns:

Casting Crowns -- The Voice of Truth (links to YouTube)

I did what he suggested. And boy oh boy, if I weren't blessed mightily by that song!

And not only the song. The video clip in the above link provides inspirative images, and especially edifying is the ending, showing some quotes from what Our Father said to us.

Go ahead and listen.

And be blessed.
